The Thickety is about a girl named Kara who finds out she is a witch. She lives in a village beside a dangerous forest that people have many names for. She was an outcast at school, everyone thought she was a witch. Because she was a witch, some guard sent Kara to a horse stable/dungeon. A few days later the fen de (he is like the boss of the village.), came to beg her to get Grace out of the evil power of a grimoire. Grace Stone, had found a grimoire ( A griomore is an evil spell book.) and she used its powers for evil. So Kara and Grace had a witch battle and Kara sent Grace down to the Witches Well. (In the story, Kara has a little brother, Taff.)
Suddenly, the guards attack Kara and her little brother, Taff, and they run into the Thickety.
This story is a little horror. But the story itself is of magic and adventure. None of it is really horror, to me, but it seems that I can tell what is horror or what is not.
This series is a 5 star, love it's twisting tales and words.
